    Matcha is grown in certain areas of Japan. It is covered with dark nets for much of its growth. In this way it is stimulated to produce higher doses of chlorophyll.     Our Matcha grows 400 km south of Tokyo, away from pollution, in lush hills. Gyokuro tea leaves are harvested by hand after being grown and selected before being ground in stone mills.
