  Liquid Grapefruit Seeds

  Grapefruit seed extract is a compound rich in bioflavonoids and vitamin C. It has a broad antimicrobial spectrum against gram positive and gram negative bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa, and is effective against all these microorganisms even when used very dilute . It is safe and non-toxic, even if it is applied in much higher doses than recommended.

   

  Grapefruit seed extract has a minimal negative impact on the beneficial bacteria for the body. At the recommended doses does not compromise the usual intestinal flora such as lactobacillus and bifidobacterium, producing the growth of the usual intestinal flora while inhibiting the growth of pathogenic flora. In massive doses it has been observed that it does produce an inhibitory effect on the usual intestinal flora.

   

  Among its potential applications are those of being a broad spectrum antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal. It can reduce the pathogenic organisms of the gastrointestinal tract, especially Candida albicans, Geotrichum, Escherichia coli hemolytic and Helicobacter pylori. It is used as part of the treatment in cases of abnormal intestinal flora, including irritable bowel syndrome and autoimmune diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. In mouthwash is used to treat oral bacteria, to reduce plaque and tooth decay and to treat gum inflammation.

   

  It is also used in the treatment of cold, throat, nose and ear infections, nail disorders, fungal infections of the skin, corns and warts, as an anti-dandruff treatment, in vaginitis and for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capacity.
