LIPOSOMAL SUPPLEMENT

Vitanano Zinc liposomes 30 capsules

  • Vitanano Zinc liposomes 30 capsules

Zinc is a vital trace element. It occurs in skin, hair, bones, eyes, liver and in the male reproductive organs. The body cannot produce the trace element itself and can only store it for a short time and in a very small amount (around 2 mg).

Liposomes are highly specific "vesicles" or bubbles modified to transport fat or water soluble molecules. Its similarity to living bilayer lipid cell membranes is remarkable. If a vitamin or nutrient is placed inside the liposome, it will not pass easily through the bilayer. However, when the liposome fuses with the lipid bilayer of the cell membrane, it can deliver its contents directly to the cell. Liposomal technology brings the power of IV therapy to a convenient oral form. With their ease of use, the promise of fast delivery, and optimal absorption, liposomal formulations can offer greater potency. Due to improved administration and absorption, nutrients administered in liposomal form at lower doses may offer efficacy equal to or greater than higher doses delivered in forms that are less bioavailable.

There are a wide variety of forms of zinc available on the market, some are better than others. Zinc is not easily absorbed by your body unless it is attached to another substance. Chelation is a process that is sometimes used to bind zinc to other substances in order to make it more absorbable and bioavailable. In chelation, organic molecules are electrically charged, which makes it possible to attract zinc. One of the advantages of chelated forms is that you will not get calcium antagonism, which can be a problem with zinc salts, such as zinc sulfate.

Zinc sulfate is one of the inorganic forms of zinc or zinc salts. There are no more effective forms than the chelated forms. Zinc sulfate can cause stomach irritation. Another inorganic variety is zinc oxide, which is the form of zinc used in many sunscreens. Other good forms of zinc include zinc gluconate, which is made by the fermentation of glucose, zinc acetate which is the result of the combination of zinc and acetic acid, and zinc citrate, which is the result of the combination of zinc and citric acid. It is advantageous to take a supplement in a variety of forms, if possible.
