LIPOSOMAL SUPPLEMENT

LIPOSOMAL SUPPLEMENT

What exactly are liposomes?
The word liposome is derived from the Greek words "lipos" and "soma", where lipos means fat and soma means liquid. Liposomes are small vesicles that are filled with liquid. These vesicles are also known as vesicles in technical terms. The envelope of the liposomes consists of a double layer of fat (lipid bilayer). But what do liposomes have to do with liposomal food supplements?
Well, these supplements are designed in such a way that they can transport and feed the nutrients directly to the destination - i.e. the human cells, without making unnecessary detours. Because human cells have a very similar structure to the liposomes described above and can absorb the active ingredients they contain particularly well and gently. These supplements therefore consist of phospholipid molecules and can therefore optimally penetrate human cells.

How do these supplements work?
Due to the structure of the small vesicles described above, the active ingredients contained in the dietary supplement can almost completely penetrate the cell membrane of the human body in order to be able to "unload" the active ingredient precisely at the target location. This active ingredient can be vitamin C, for example. No vitamin is "lost" on the way to the cell, since it is appropriately protected in the bladder and only released in the respective cell.

This high absorption capacity for the body is also known as bioavailability and comes from the field of pharmacology. This means that the relevant active ingredient, such as vitamin C, is absorbed by the body much better and faster. If the vitamins and substances are in other "transport covers", ie not in the liposomes described above, a large part of the active substances is not even absorbed by the organism, but excreted again unused and thus "wasted". So if you want to strengthen your immune system, you should use liposomal food supplements to increase their effectiveness, as these also have a significantly higher bioavailability.
